Award winning Chef Valentino is inspired by his Italian heritage and the local produce he has become accustomed to using during his time in Surrey. Valentino works with local artisan suppliers and the freshest produce from the surrounding area, and combines it with the very best from his native home in Italy in order to create the dishes on our menu, which strike the perfect balance between traditional and contemporary.
Lottie S19/02/2023Probably the best food I have ever eaten We hosted my husbands 50th birthday here and I cannot fault anything, the decor is subdued and tasteful allowing the food and drinks to speak for themselves.The food was amazing, the wines chosen by Giulio were spectacular. The staff could not have been more helpful - I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. An absolute gem!
Snudge0817/02/2023Very positive first impressions My wife & I visited for the first time yesterday, a week after the restaurant opened. Tasteful decor and space. Nicely balanced menu. Particularly helpful that all the pasta dishes can be either starters or mains. Well constructed wine list. We both had the pappardelle with wild boar and Chianti ragu & truffle pecorino, which was wonderful. Enjoyed the whole experience and will be back soon.
Elizabeth H16/02/2023Date night My husband and I booked Clava Restaurant on a recommendation of our neighbours. We were not disappointed. The restaurant is stunning inside, and has a really lovely atmosphere. The staff and service were all spot on and the food was delicious and beautiful. We will be returning regularly for sure.
Nicola A13/02/2023Birthday Dinner We visited for a friends birthday there was a large group of us and the staff were brilliant very friendly helpful when needed and recommended dishes. The food was amazing and the atmosphere was lovely. Great food beautifully presented.

If you, like my family & I, have been following the career of this incredibly talented young chef then it will come as no surprise to that his new restaurant “Clava” in West Byfleet, Surrey does not disappoint. He, along with his partner Giulio, a first-class sommelier, have created a very stylish restaurant with incredible contemporary Italian food along with some of the finest Italian wines this side of Tuscany. We had the pleasure of visiting “Clava” last night and the attention to detail on all aspects of our gastronomic journey were outstanding. From the warmest of welcomes to the fondest of farewells we were treated to exceptional food, fantastic wines and the best service in a restaurant we have had for a very long time. Given Valentino’s previous successes I cannot see “Clava” being anything other than a “little gem” in the heart of surrey. If you do nothing else this year, book “Clava” I promise you, you will have a wonderful time.
MrMc198009/02/2023What a fantastic restaurant! Wow! This place is beautiful. The restaurant itself is stunning and the food is amazing! We had such an enjoyable evening at Clava. Service was impeccable, the team there were friendly, unpretentious and they went out of their way to ensure we enjoyed our evening. Definitely a place that we will go back to regularly!!
