It comes from pure Roscetto grapes, a variety abandoned in the past. To the nose it gives sensations of exotic and tropical fruit with hints of vanilla. The palate is rich, with good softness and a persistent and long finish.

The name Cervaro comes from the noble family that owned Castello della Sala during the 14th century, Monaldeschi della Cervara. A blend of Chardonnay grapes and a small quantity of Grechetto make a wine that can age over time and represent the elegance and complexity of this unique estate. Cervaro della Sala is one of the first Italian white wines to have malolactic fermentation and aging take place in barriques. The first vintage of Cervaro to be produced was the 1985 vintage.

In this wonderfully aromatic Soave from Italy’s Veneto sage and mint, elderflower and cherry blossom waft into the nostrils, followed by an appetising shot of peach and apricot on the tongue.

Aromas of peach, apricot, and acacia flowers. On the palate, it is crisp and fresh with a well-balanced acidity that is both lively and pleasant. The Vespaiolo grape variety is known for its high sugar content, which makes the Vespaiolo a medium to full-bodied wine.

Grenache by any other name, Cannonau here gives a typical rendition of peppery summer-berry fruit, full to begin with, then nicely dry on the finish.

In the glass the wine appears ruby red with purple hints. The nose reveals hints of violet, wild blackberry, ripe strawberries and rosemary. The sip is soft and structured.

The blend is 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Aglianico and 20% Merlot sourced from a five-hectare site with clay soils. Some 20,000 bottles are made. The bouquet reveals dark cherry and black plum with baker’s chocolate and exotic spice. There is an especially black fruit quality that is almost tarry from the Aglianico, and that grape really pops from the blend, as it should, since this is one of the original “super Campania” wines.

Grapes from a single Tuscan vineyard make this Vino Nobile di Montepulciano and it’s heady with roses and raspberries, blackberries and balsamic, with minerals and refined tannin.

With 8-10 years from the vintage these wines really begin to shine.

This Sangiovese is bright, ruby red in colour. On the nose, aromas of ripe dark cherries, violets and plums, complemented by a hint of spice. This wine has wonderful structure and the palate is typically rich and full complemented by racy acidity and characteristically fine, supple tannins. The finish is flavourful and persistent.

The 2011 Tignanello is an intense ruby red in color with purple highlights. The wine is ripe on the nose with notes of dark fruit and with much underlying freshness on the aromatic finish.

Perfect for when you want to impress the table with something that’s both approachable and sophisticated, Sassicaia 2018 says, “Yes, I’m young, but I’ve already got this whole world-class wine thing down.”

Violet red colour. Intense notes of black currant red, plum, raspberry, black cherry and spice. On th epalate the wine opens, fresh with a good balance between acidity, sweetness and tannin.

On the nose, this wine reveals distinct notes of berries, aromatic herbs, spices and vanilla. The textured palate is underpinned by sweet, polished tannins that linger on the long and intriguing finish.

Terre, a classic Bordeaux blend, follows the footsteps of its “big brother” San Leonardo. A refined red blend with notes of red currants, black cherry and cocoa, balanced by fine tannins and fresh acidity. Clear, fruity, slightly spicy and balsamic with notes of raspberry, aromatic herbs and dark cherry.

A concentrated red wine with rich aromas of ripe black fruit, followed by spicy hints of vanilla and leather and hints of violets.

Deep ruby-red color. The nose is complex and fruity, with fruity and vegetal hints. Pronunced hints of red berry fruits - as black cherry, blackberry and blackcurrant - and of green pepper. In the mouth it is rich and pleasant.

This wine is garnet red in colour, with crushed floral notes on the nose. The palate is vibrant, displaying notes of rose petals, fresh strawberries and raspberry, tobacco, and orange peel. The long finish is complemented by smooth, velvet tannins.

Aromas of blackcurrant and cherry, to liquorice, vanilla and smoky tobacco notes, which develop on the palate. Full bodied and elegant, framed by taut tannins the wine has a long, lingering finish.

Rose, forest berry, dark spice and crushed mint aromas shape the nose on this fragrant red. The fullbodied, delicious palate features juicy Marasca cherry, strawberry compote and star anise alongside youthfully tight, f inegrained tannins. It closes on a white pepper note. 

Intense red color with hints of garnet. On the nose, typical notes of plum, cherry and Morello cherry followed by tea leaves, licorice and spices. On the palate, notes of red berry fruit sweetened by soft notes of spices, in perfect balance with acidity. 

The 2020 is sleek, powerful, linear and brightly fruited with powdery fine grained mineral tannins over potent peppery red berry aromatics, Asian spices, red cherry and pithy wild strawberry. Medium bodied, ultra-pure and magnificently floral with tantalising salty red liquorice nuances that finishes with creamy, drying stony tannins, a crushed limestone minerality before a final reprise of tangy red cherry pastille.
